Avanafil

• Avanafil is prescribed for the treatment of male sexual dysfunction, including impotence or erectile dysfunction (ED).
• Avanafil helps create and sustain an erection by increasing blood flow to the penis when combined with sexual arousal.
• The oral ED medication does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STDs), including syphilis, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and HIV.
• During any sexual activities, it is advised to use efficient barrier techniques, such as latex or polyurethane condoms or dental dams, to reduce infection risk.

• As prescribed by your physician, usually as needed, take this medication orally, either with or without meals.
• Avanafil is available in various dosages.
• Depending on your prescribed dose, take avanafil approximately 15 to 30 minutes before sexual activity.
• Adhere strictly to your doctor’s instructions regarding the timing before sexual activity.
• Stay under one dose per day.
• The dosage is based on your health, treatment response, and if you are on any other drugs now.
• Make sure your doctor and pharmacist are aware of everything you are taking, including prescription, over-the-counter, and dietary supplements.
• Notify your doctor if your condition does not improve after consuming the oral ED medication.

Oral ed medication may have the following adverse effects:

• Migraines
• Flushing
• Feeling lightheaded

Serious Side Effects

In rare cases, avanafil may cause serious side effects. Seek urgent healthcare if you come across:

• Severe dizziness, fainting, or chest/jaw/left arm pain
• Sudden decrease in vision or permanent blindness in one or both eyes
• Sudden decrease or loss of hearing, with possible ringing in the ears and dizziness
• Long-lasting or uncomfortable erection which endures for four hours or longer
• Itching, hives, or edema, mostly on the neck, tongue, or face
• Trouble breathing

• Before starting avanafil, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have any known allergies to the medication or any other allergies.
• Heart issues (such as a recent heart attack, life-threatening irregular heartbeat, chest pain, or heart failure)
• Stroke within the past 6 months
• Kidney disease (including dialysis)
• Liver disease
• High or low blood pressure
• Dehydration
• Penis conditions (such as Peyronies disease, fibrosis, or angulation)
• History of priapism or painful/prolonged erections
• Priapism-related conditions (such as sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma)
• Conditions affecting the eyes (such as retinitis pigmentosa, abrupt vision loss, and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, or NAION)
• Bleeding disorders
• Active stomach ulcers

Erection medication may cause dizziness or vision changes. Alcohol or marijuana (cannabis) can exacerbate these effects. If you use marijuana, consult your doctor and limit alcohol consumption. Wait until you are certain you can safely operate machinery, drive, or perform other duties requiring complete attention before doing any of these things.

It is uncommon for women to be prescribed this medicine, and it is also improbable that they will use it while pregnant or nursing. Consult your doctor if you have any questions regarding the use of this medication.

• Drug interactions can affect how effectively your medicine works or increase the risk of negative side effects.
• Keep an updated list of all medications, including prescription, instant erection pills over the counter, and herbal products, and share this list with your doctor and pharmacist.
• Never begin, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine without first consulting your physician.
• This medication may interact with products such as riociguat and vericiguat.
• Stendra 200 MG can cause a severe drop in blood pressure if used with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) or recreational drugs like "poppers" containing amyl or butyl nitrite, which may lead to dizziness, fainting, or in rare cases, heart attack or stroke.
• If you are also taking alpha-blockers (e.g., doxazosin, tamsulosin) for an enlarged prostate or high blood pressure, monitor for significant drops in blood pressure that may cause dizziness or fainting. Your doctor may adjust your avanafil or alpha-blocker dosage to reduce this risk.
• Other medications, such as azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole), macrolide antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin), HIV protease inhibitors (e.g., indinavir), rifampin, and ritonavir, may alter how avanafil is processed in your body.
• Avoid using avanafil in combination with other meds for erection (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil) or products containing avanafil.

• Call emergency services (911) right away if you have overdosed on meds for erection and are encountering blackout or breathing difficulties.
• Contact the poison control center quickly if you have other overdose-related concerns.
• US citizens can call 1-800-222-1222 to contact their local poison control facility.
• Contact the provincial poison control center if you live in Canada.

• Store the meds for erection at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.
• Place drugs away from the grasp of young people and pets.
• Unless directed to do so, avoid pouring or flushing drugs down the toilet or the drain. Make sure you dispose of this product appropriately after it expires or is no longer needed.
